 Steve Boyd’s “Unknown Battle” cameo cohorts may include Bill Holden, Steve McQueen, Tony Quinn, Elke Sommer, and Romy Schneider according to latest “Battle” plans Boyd received from Anthony Mann, awaiting the thesp’s arrival in Norway in March… New U.S. citizen-Boyd was partied Saturday p.m. by the Jerry Pams… His “Ben Hur” chariot competitor Charlton Heston, on hand to offer congrats on the new citizenship, penned in Boyd’s souvenir book: “I’ve grown accustomed to this race”…Kay Gable with Cesare Danova were also a duo at Boyd’s bash… Mala Powers was Ross Martin’s late date.. she arrived following “Night of the Iguana” performance… Barry Sullivan also offering congrats;

 It’s Feis Ceoil in Gaelic and it’s pronounced Fish Coyle and whatever it is, it’s what Diana and Jerry Pam held for Steve Boyd to celebrate his U.S. citizenship… The cake decoration designated Steve as an “Ex-Irishman”….The guest of honor didn’t agree… “That’s one thing,” said Steve, “you can’t ex-out of a Belfast Bhoyo whose daddy came from Kerry” … Kay Gabel & Cesare Danova, same party , joined Esther Williams & Fernando Lamas in pouring a jigger of Johnny-Jump-Up, a potion distilled on the banks of the Liffey, for UPIs Joe Finnigan,. Elke Sommer signed to sirenize Steve in “The Unknown Battle… Rosemarie Bowe beamed about Bob Stack. Alex Tucker, Steve’s business manager, was on tap too for a drop of the gargle with a plate of coddle on the side, and we were told Steve, whose 1963 take was a shade over $500,000 is now on a weekly allowance of 25 bucks…
